Mini Hamburgers/Big taste


Ingredients for 2 persons:

400 gr minced
ground beef
1 red onion from Tropea
4 cheese slices
4 tomato slices
4 mini milk breads (pain au lait)
rosmary stems
extra virgin olive oil
2 tbsp honey
4 tbsp balsamic vinegar
pepper & salt




How to prepare sweet-and-sour onions:

Put ¼ cup of olive oil in heavy large pot. Let the olive oil get hot for 1/2 minute and add the onions (thinly sliced) until tasty; add salt, pepper, honey, balsamic vinegar and ¼ cup of water; simmer until tender and creamy, about 15/20 minutes.


How to prepare hamburgers:

Preheat grill for high heat. Shape minced meat into 4 equal patties. Put patties in a bowl with ¼ cup of olive oil, rosmary, salt and pepper, let them marinating for 5 minutes. Then grill patties 5 minutes each side, or until well done. At the last minute put cheese slices on. Serve on buns with tomato slices and sweet-and-sour onions and your favorite condiments.


Tip:

If you are "buongustaio" like my fiancé, add crispy bacon!!
